Window paintings are one of the most effective and eye-catching ways to elevate your storefront. They stop foot traffic, spark conversation, and create highly shareable moments both in person and online. A well-designed window painting turns your business into a destination.

How the process works

Getting started

To begin, please provide:

  • Clear, straight-on photos of your windows

  • Window dimensions and number of panes

  • A description of your vision, including any reference images

Once I review your request, we’ll confirm whether the project is a good fit and move forward from there.

Pricing & design

  • Window paintings start at $1,000

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure your spot

  • Brainstorming conversations via messages are always complimentary

After your deposit is received, I’ll create a basic mock-up directly on the photo of your windows so you can visualize the final design. If you choose not to proceed after receiving the mock-up, your deposit is refundable minus a $75 design fee to cover design time.

Payment

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Cash

  • Venmo

  • Check

  • Invoice payable via bank transfer

The remaining balance is due on the first day of painting.

Scheduling & installation

A $1,000 window painting typically takes up to two days to complete, plus possible prep time the day prior. Larger or more complex designs may take longer.

Typical working hours are 7am–5pm, though this may vary. If you’re unavailable during painting hours, access can be arranged in advance and keys returned on the final day.

Interior vs exterior painting

Whether your windows are painted inside or outside depends on the season and location:

  • Indoor painting offers greater protection from the elements and a cleaner finish

  • Outdoor painting can appear more vibrant from a distance due to reduced glare

We’ll determine the best approach during our consultation.

Longevity & care

Window paintings are professional quality and built to last. Longevity depends on sun exposure, weather, and overhang protection.

Paintings in sheltered areas can last for years, while more exposed locations are better suited for seasonal designs. If any issues arise within the first two weeks, please reach out and I’ll gladly work with you on a solution.

Liability & materials

Window painting is generally very safe and is removable with a razor scraper and dish soap. However, by proceeding, the business owner assumes responsibility for any damage to glass, including scratches or breaks. While issues are extremely rare, any repairs are the responsibility of the property owner.

Tinted or plexiglass windows cannot be painted.

Optional paint removal is available, starting at $150.
